What is female crested geckos?

Female crested geckos are usually smaller than males, measuring around 7-8 inches in length. They have a thinner base at the tail and a smaller bulge at the base of the tail than males. Female crested geckos can lay eggs without a male, but the eggs will not be fertile. They can begin laying eggs at around 8-12 months old and may lay several clutches a year. It is important to provide proper nesting sites for females to lay their eggs and to monitor their calcium levels to prevent metabolic bone disease. Female crested geckos are generally more docile than males and make great pets.
